After an emotional stay in Myanmar, I was happy to reenter Thailand again. I actually didn’t feel safe in Myanmar anymore as I was continuously talking about the war, the military coup, and the poverty. The military government, at the moment of writing this, would not allow me to talk so freely about the current state of Myanmar. I knew this before I entered, so I decided to start publishing the Myanmar series after I left the country.
Back in Thailand, back to Noona!

I was also super excited and happy to meet Noona again. She was in the Netherlands for a while to visit friends and family and sort out a few things. I flew into Bangkok a day before her. I checked into an airport hotel, which was actually a great hotel to just have a night rest, clean and close to Suvarnabhumi Airport. The day after, I picked Noona up from the airport, and we checked into the river hotel. It’s an older hotel but has nice rooms facing the river, a great breakfast, and a ferry nearby so we were able to catch the boat a few times to commute in town. We took a night train up to Chiang Mai and are looking for a condo to stay for 6 months to a year.
