We Crack On

After we got a little honeymoon with a few beautiful nights at the Melia Hotel in Chiang Mai, reality hit literally. We experienced an earthquake just as we arrived back at our condo. It was intense. People ran out of buildings screaming and crying. We were lucky not to be inside as many who were, are traumatized. Our building had damage, but the structure held.

Even though the authorities declared it safe within hours, we stayed away for a week. We didn’t trust how fast the checks were done. Some buildings across Thailand were still under review.

Getting back into the rhythm after all that wasn’t easy. But life moves on and I picked up a small video acting job in Kuala Lumpur, which helped me reset. I also got to create some new content, especially in Putrajaya, which I really enjoyed.

Malaysia continues to inspire me, but next time, I might check out a smaller town on the peninsula. On to Vietnam!
